Camp Jojo 2025 Impact Report: What Our Families Told Us

At Camp Jojo, the heart of everything we do is our families. The 2025 Impact Report brings together anonymised reflections from families who joined us at camp, sharing their experiences before and after their time away. Through identical questions completed at both stages, families helped us understand the real difference Camp Jojo can make — not just for children with complex needs, but for the whole family unit.

Again and again, families spoke about feeling welcomed, included, and supported in ways that made the impossible feel possible. For many, it was their first time camping together, their first proper break, or the first time they felt able to truly relax, knowing their children were safe, understood, and having fun. Volunteers were described as kind, skilled and compassionate — offering practical help, emotional reassurance, and space for families to simply be.

These experiences highlight why Camp Jojo matters. They remind us that accessibility, dignity, and belonging are not extras — they are essential. We are incredibly grateful to every family who shared their story and helped us learn, reflect, and grow.
