£1,390 Grant to Support Families of Children with Complex Needs

Camp Jojo is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious High Sheriff’s Shield, accompanied by a £1,390 grant, in recognition of our work providing fully adapted camping breaks for families of children with complex and life‑limiting needs. 

The award was presented at the High Sheriff Awards Ceremony at Brougham Hall, Penrith, where organisations from across Cumbria were celebrated for their commitment to enriching their communities. Receiving the High Sheriff’s Shield is an incredible honour for Camp Jojo and a significant acknowledgement of the impact of our work at our accessible campsite near Appleby.

This £1,390 grant will directly support children and families within the Camp Jojo community, helping us continue to create joyful, inclusive camping opportunities where memories can be made safely and freely.”
