On September 11th, following our 3 successful camps this summer, friends and supporters of Camp Jojo met at the MICA Centre in West Mersea. Rachel, one of our Trustees, told everyone about the charity’s work and vision, while we enjoyed our glass of Pimms.
We all enjoyed a delicious three course meal, (prepared and served by a hard-working band of volunteers), and were treated to an amazing concert by ZHL, the string quartet with a difference. Never has classical music been such fun!
There was a raffle, with prizes donated by generous local well-wishers, and an auction of a flight from Duxford in a Second World War vintage plane.
Altogether, the evening raised an amazing £3750 for Camp Jojo, and everyone agreed that, despite Covid precautions, it was an evening to remember. Thank you so much to everyone who worked so hard to make it possible.
