Facilities & Equipment
Camp Jojo has a range of facilities and equipment to ensure we can support children and their families as much as possible.
Take a look at what Camp Jojo can provide and be sure to note down on your application form what you think might be suitable for your family.
The assisted bathroom has a ceiling track hoist equipped with a height adjustable shower bench and handrails.
Our hoisted tents are equipped with a gantry hoist able to move the full length of the tent. These hoists have been made specifically for our tents and allow families to hoist children using the full space.
Camp Jojo has 2 single profiling beds and 2 mattresses available for families to use. We use grade 4 pressure relieving supports on our mattresses to ensure children are kept warm when camping. If you have requested a profiling bed, this will be already set up in your tent when you arrive.
Camp Jojo uses inflatable mats and sleeping bags for families to sleep on. We have bunkbeds which can be used for young children or as a changing bench for children that need hoisting. We also have camp beds available for families.
Camp Jojo is keen for all of our equipment to give postural support therefore we have a P Pod which creates moulded support for children when seated.
Camp Jojo has a birdie compact mobile hoist to enable all children to access all of the activities. This for example, is often taken to the bottom of field to hoist children onto hammocks or swings.
Our very own sensory barn, equipped with lots of sensory toys and a music system. We also have different types of postural support i.e. wedges, physio mat, bean bag, etc. Our sensory barn is also equipped with a gantry hoist for enabling all children to access the area.
We have a Trekinetic wheelchair available for use. The Trekinetic is a manual, all terrain wheelchair, which can be used all over the camp site but is especially useful for a much smoother ride to the beach and across the sand.
Camp Jojo has 3 hippocampes available to use. The Hippocampe is an all terrain wheelchair which allows the child to get in the sea without getting out of their chair - this wheelchair floats on water!
