Family Application Information
Eligibility
Our camping weekends are aimed at families who have a child or children with complex needs. We prioritise families whose needs make holidays (particularly camping) extremely challenging. We hope to be able to provide these families with the support and facilities needed in order to make a camping weekend possible.
Camp Jojo has turned out to be very popular! Due to our current capacity we are only able to provide holidays for approximately a third of those that apply. However, we are expanding! This year we have increased to four camps and we hope to expand this further next year.
We do regret not being able to offer every family who applies a place at camp and we hope that this will not put you off applying! Please give as much detail about medical conditions and family circumstances in your application as you feel comfortable with, as this will help us during the selection process.

Parental Responsibility
Please read the following document carefully. This defines what Camp Jojo can and can’t take responsibility for on the camps; and what parents remain responsible for.
At the end of the application form you will be asked to tick a box to confirm that you have read this and that you agree to the terms.
Cost
The cost of a Camp Jojo weekend is £110 per person (children under five come free of charge).
The actual cost per person per weekend to run the camp is considerably more than this, and Camp Jojo relies on the generosity of sponsors and supporters to cover the extra. This is in line with our policy that no one should be asked to pay extra on account of the disabilities of one or more family members.
We do not want anyone not to be able to attend for financial reasons. Therefore, we are able to offer some bursaries. You will be asked whether you would like to apply for a bursary on the application form.
We will refund all payment in the situation of an acute medical emergency in your family; or in the event that, because of Covid, we cannot hold the camps. In all other situations if you are unable to attend we will endeavour to fill your places with another family and, if we are able to do so, will return all payment except the deposit.
Apply
Family applications for 2022 have now closed.
We strongly encourage all applications. However, due to the capacity of our camp, equipment and volunteers, we are limited as to how many families we can accept, and selection is based on the needs of the family as a whole.
Once all applications are reviewed, you will be notified if you have been accepted to attend Camp Jojo by April 14th 2022 at the latest. You will then be asked to pay a non-returnable deposit of £25 per person at the time you accept your places. The remaining balance is due eight weeks before the camp you are attending.
Your personal information will be used for the sole purpose of contacting you about Camp Jojo, and to be considered for a bursary if appropriate.
