Our Team

The Camp Jojo team is made up of three trustees, three special advisors, two employees, our fantastic patron, a voluntary committee and of course, the wonderful volunteers that make the camps happen!
We are always on the look out for new team members, particularly anyone who is interested in volunteering at our camps! For more information on volunteering, please click here.
Our Patron

Award-winning actor, writer, and comedian-presenter Sally Phillips is known for her roles in I’m Alan Partridge, Smack the Pony, Green Wing, and Miranda. She is also Clare, in Radio 4’s Sony Award-winning Clare in the Community, Shazzer in the Bridget Jones trilogy and currently hosts Sunday morning Live with Sean Fletcher.
In 2016 she fronted the documentary A World Without Down’s Syndrome? (BBC2), exploring the ethical implications of our national screening policy. It included part of her own story of parenting a son with Down’s Syndrome and won both the Radio Times Readers Awards and Sanford St Martin awards for the Best single documentary and was shown around the world.
Sally continues to be a vocal disability advocate and in 2020 took the role of Patron for Camp Jojo.
She says, “Going on holiday with children who have additional needs is a challenge at the best of times. How wonderful it is that Camp Jojo has made it possible for families of children with complex needs to get away and enjoy a traditional, family, camping holiday singing around the campfire, sleeping in tents, getting muddy, toasting marshmallows and eating baked beans.”
